This guided, walking trail ride will wind through portions of the farm before heading down the Avenue of the Oaks lined with centuries old Live Oak trees drapes with Spanish Moss. As you relax to the sounds of hoofbeats and travel past the historic Coffin Point Plantation house (circa 1801), our guides will share some of the history of the Coffin Point area, and St. Helena Island. Travel back in time and envision in your mind what a working cotton plantation pre and post Civil War was like. The ride will then transition to the beach area of Coffin Point where you will enjoy astounding views of the St. Helena Sound. Harbor Island and Edisto Island. Opportunities exist to see both Bottlenose dolphin as well as the Tamanend dolphin which is a recently discovered species unique to the Lowcountry area. Multiple species of shore birds, pelicans and seagulls are often visitors to this serene coastline area as well. While your horses take a quick break, our guides will capture this moment for you with a group picture! *Please note: Total beach riding time is typically abut 15-20 minutes of the total ride time.
